But it is partly whimsical, for I have found that it seems to embody something of my personality. The name reflects the meaning behind my father’s surname. Those observations, including my own, form the foundation of the information I present on this website. Over a decade of information has been collected by armies of careful and objective volunteer viewers, including many who have tracked and logged their observations in forums, chat rooms, social media, and nest cam web sites, often richly supplemented by screen captures and videos. Researchers have begun to appreciate the contributions these intimate observations are making to our knowledge. The nest cams have provided wonder, entertainment, sometimes anguish, and most importantly, education about the breeding behavior of Bald Eagles. For example, you can use this tool to migrate accounts, messages, address books, calendars, and settings into your current Thunderbird application. Over time millions of observers have tuned in to nests criss-crossing the continent from Alaska to Florida, southern California to Maine. With Thunderbird's Import Tool, you can import settings and data from a variety of sources including Thunderbird profiles, other applications or certain files. Other organizations and individuals followed suit in subsequent years, so that currently over 50 nests are streamed online.

PDF reader - if you search for a PDF and then click on it you’ll be taken to all references of your search within Skim. You can save emails to the library using the capture key or by dragging from Apple Mail into the library. You can print a PDF to Eaglefiler from pretty much any application. Flagging an item in EF comes across in Finder (tag: flagged)… I use that to highlight PDF files I want to read later/annotate on my iPad. I store my library on iCloud, so I can access the files there (even though EagleFiler isn’t available for iOS - it’s not really necessary). This allows me to choose whether I want to save as a PDF, plain text or as a bookmark. I save quite a bit of web content to the library and find the bookmarklets handy ( EagleFiler Bookmarklets). I use just one library, but my work and life tend to flow into each other, so your mileage may vary. The developer is very responsive on the EagleFiler forum.
